At the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Dien - Deputy Director of the Da Nang Chamber of Commerce and Industry introduced the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum and disseminated the Resolution No. 35 / 2016 / NQ-CP on supporting and developing enterprises by 2020.
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) is the leading economic cooperation mechanism in the Asia-Pacific region with the main objective of contributing to promote sustainable prosperous economic growth in the area. In 2017, Vietnam will take over the role of host of APEC Year 2017, with the theme of "Creating a new momentum, looking after a common future together"
APEC 2017, which is scheduled to take place from November 5 to 11, will be attended by leaders from 21 member economies and more than 10,000 domestic and international delegates and thousands of press reporters. Danang was chosen as the host city for APEC 2017. That is considered a great responsibility and a great opportunity not only for Da Nang but also for surrounding areas, including Quang Nam. That is also an opportunity to attract investors, especially the beach coast length of more than 200 km from Da Nang, Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue will attract large corporations to invest.
