Triem Tay - The eroded and silted land area

Legend has it that in the early 19th century, an alluvial land was formed from the west of Kim Bong village. Mr. Pham An from Thang Loc village, who was the Chief (Tan An Commune, Duy Xuyen District), discovered the fertile alluvial land and brought Pham clan's descendants to cultivate it, which gradually became fields, dunes with lush rice and potatoes.

Dien Ban land has thousands of years of history with many successive cultures from Sa Huynh culture, Champa culture to Vietnamese culture. As for Champa culture, there still exists a fairly intact Bang An tower and many Champa vestiges underground in Dien Ban town today.
