Born and raised on Go Noi fertile land, biology teacher Nguyen Thi Kieu Anh passionates about the scent of lemongrass and has cherished the dream of making essential oils from the spices and medicinal herbs available in her hometown. The Java lemongrass essential oil product of Go Noi Green Agriculture Cooperative was born from that idea.
Ms. Anh said that through research, Java citronella has many uses, they are good for health and can extract a large amount of essential oil. From there, she began to research lemongrass and find a way to extract lemongrass essential oil products. She take advantaged of her family's land about 4,000m2 of and bought Java citronella seeds from the mountainous district of Tay Giang - Quang Nam and Da Lat city - Lam Dong. After many failures, finally, drops of standard lemongrass essential oil were successfully distilled by Ms. Anh. "Anyone who has used this product once will remember it forever and they will be completely assured of its quality because the essential oil ingredients are pure, natural, no fragrance, no preservatives and they have been inspected by a professional agency to meet safety standards" - Ms. Kieu Anh affirmed.
Currently, the Java citronella essential oil product of Go Noi Green Agricultural Cooperative has been affirming its brand and quality. This product has participated in many fairs in and outside Quang Nam province and it also is present in many provinces and cities across the country. This product was recognized by the People's Committee of Quang Nam province as a Provincial-level Creative Startup Idea and Project in 2023, and was certified by Dien Ban Chairman of the People's Committee as a typical rural industrial product at the district level in 2023. Go Noi Green Agricultural Cooperative has also completed the registration dossier to participate in the OCOP Program in 2023.

Go Noi - Dien Ban is a fertile land but very harsh due to natural isasters nd floods. Local people here can only cultivate short-term crops, making a living difficult. Realizing the dream of starting a business from clean agricultural products for nearly 8 years, Do Duong Dong Phuong has boldly sought a new direction for his hometown's agricultural products. Asparagus has been planted since then. After many years of flooding, Asparagus still thrives in Go Noi.
Up to now, Do Duong Dong Phuong has successfully launched the Go Noi branded Asparagus Juice with faith, determination, and creative ideas. The product contains high nutritional content. With a strict process from input materials to the production line, the product has been certified by Haccp, Iso 2200. At the same time, Asparagus Juice has also been honored by Quang Nam People's Committee to certify the product as meeting the 4-star Ocop standard. With raw materials grown in a natural way, a closed processing process, and modern production, the product has a high nutritional content, supplementing many natural micronutrients, supporting health improvement, strengthening the immune system and preventing aging, aiming for sustainable development. Go Noi Asparagus Juice always sets strict requirements in production such as not using additives, not preservatives. They are striving to develop domestic market share and to bring products to new markets.

Le Thi Huong - Owner of Huong Bot cereal powder production facility, is a familiar name to many women in Quang Nam province. Starting from zero but with the desire to accompany farmers, Le Thi Huong, in block 1, Vinh Dien ward, Dien Ban town, is known by many people for her creative startup ideas with many products made by farmers. Overcoming all difficulties, with a preferential loan of 100 million VND, Ms. Huong invested an additional 400 million VND to realize her idea of building a qualified processing facility and ensuring food hygiene and safety. She invested in building a factory, organizing cooperation with farmers to develop diverse products.
Le Thi Huong has made an impression at many exhibitions and displays of agricultural products since the end of 2018. The cereal powder brand "Huong Bot" in Dien Ban town is trusted by many consumers. In 2019, Huong Bot cereal powder products were rated 3-star Ocop at the provincial level. Now Huong Bot cereal powder production facility has 3 products rated 3-star Ocop including: Cereal powder, roasted bean tea and lemongrass chili salt products.

Dien Ban not only has rice fields and lush crops because it is located along the rivers but also has many traditional coastal craft villages. Ha Quang craft village is a long-standing fish sauce making village in the Dien Duong coastal area. Currently, there are many people making fish sauce here, but the largest production scale is the establishment of Mrs. Tran Thi Thuan.
In addition to making traditional fish sauce, Mrs. Thuan's family also makes shrimp paste and fish sauce. Every year, Mrs. Thuan's facility brings to the market about 2,000 liters of fish sauce and 5 tons of shrimp paste under the brand name of Ha Quang fish sauce and shrimp paste. As for shrimp paste, the facility mostly exports raw, unlabeled products to many agents.
With the support of the locality, to date, the shrimp paste, fish sauce products of Mrs. Tran Thi Thuan's facility have been recognized as 3-star Ocop. According to Mrs. Thuan, since being on the list of consideration for recognition of ocop standards, the facility has been supported with funding to upgrade the factory, coded labels and many other promotional activities.

Among the traditional occupations of Dien Ban, the handicraft industry is the most concentrated and famous. These include Phuoc Kieu bronze casting, Le Duc Ha pottery, and Nguyen Van Tiep woodworking. With this foundation, in recent years, Dien Ban has focused on developing ocop products in the field of handicrafts.
In 2011, Au Lac Wood Art Company in Dien Phong commune, Dien Ban town was officially born and operates in the field of manufacturing and trading wooden statue paintings. Au Lac's wooden products are quite diverse such as souvenirs, fine arts and projects using wood. Especially in 2023, Au Lac Art Wood Company made 11 relatively large reliefs for Our Lady of LaVang Parish in California, USA. Besides, there are also Buddha symbols in Thailand, a number of villas and buildings in Da Nang, Dak Lak... from Au Lac wood art products.
From 2018 up to now, Dien Ban has actively propagated and discovered products that can be developed into Ocop products to Implement the Ocop program. Benefits from the program have been spread and encouraged many social cooperation, businesses, and business households to actively participate in building OCOP products, especially craft village products and products developed from local natural resources. After more than 5 years of development, Dien Ban has developed 25 products, including many drinks, food, and handicraft products. These products have been launched on e-commerce platforms as well as advertised on the websites of the town and Quang Nam province.
Starting up has never been easy. Especially in the current context when the macro-economy faces many difficulties, people's purchasing power decelerates, and export activities stop. Therefore, Dien Ban has needs of large businesses, reputable experts and experienced leaders in the startup ecosystem; As well as we need more and more financial policies to support more effectively. Especially, the policy needs to be promoted to innovation and creativity so that the startup community of Quang Nam in general and Dien Ban in particular can overcome difficulties, gradually upgrade products, and affirm their brand in the market./.
