Attending the meeting were Mr. Le Tri Thanh - Chairman of District People's Committee, Mr Tran Uc, Mr Phan Minh Dung Vice Chairman of District People's Committee,  representative leaders of Divisions  of Natural Resources - Environment, Finance - Planning, Centre of developing Industrial complex - Trade - Services, Office of District People's Councils and People's Committees.

The representative of the consultants reported on feasibility and environmental management utility for Dien Ban District at the meeting.

Mr Le Tri Thanh,  Chairman of People's Committee of Dien Ban district highly appreciated the project. Currently, the rapid rate of urbanization in Dien Ban with the development is the Environmental protection problem from Industrial Zone, Industrial Complex, markets,residential areas ... The amount of wastewater, waste gas to the environment is relatively large. That impacts on health of human being and causes air pollution, noise, groundwater. In addition, tourism areas, bathing beaches have waste directly into rivers, sea causing environment pollution and affecting the scenic view.  With the policy of promoting DienBan development towards the green growth, environment protection is considered as a key element. Therefore, managing and assessing marine environmental and monitoring wastewater treatment in units on the district are the pressing problems.

In the hope of that the project on building support systems monitoring environmental pollution of water and air basing on the WebGIS technology platform of  Associate Professor Dr. Bui Ta Long will  bring good results  in  managing and protecting environment of Dien Ban District in the future.
