Attending the ceremony, there were leaders from the Central: Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister; Mr. Huynh Ngoc Son – Member of the Party Central Committee and Vice President of the National Assembly; many leaders and former leaders of leaders of Party and State agencies; Mr. Ivan Emilio Turmero Crespo, The Delegation of Venezuela Embassy in Ha Noi; Major-General Nguyen Viet Hoang, Deputy Chief of Staff of the 5th Military Zone; Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Phuoc Thanh, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, Head of the National Assembly delegation of Quang Nam Province; Along with Members of the National Assembly delegation of Province; members of Province Party Standing Committee, Standing of Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee, former leaders of Quang Nam Province; leaders of departments, boards, branches, unions of the Province. Leaders of Da Nang City, Ho Chi Minh City, representative leaders of government, front, boards, unions of Hoang Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province; Dong Giang District, Quang Nam province; representative leaders of Tam Ky City, Hoi An City, and districts in Quang Nam Province were in attendance.
Attending the Ceremony, there were also Mr Le Than, member of Provincial Party Committee, District Party Committee Secretary; Mr. Le Tri Thanh, member of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of district People's Committe; Mr. Tran Van Thu, member of District Party's Standing Committee, Chairman of District People's Council; Mr. Ngo Van Trinh, member of District Party's Standing Committee, Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers,Heroes of the people's armed forces, revolutionary veterans, Former leaders of Dien Ban district through different periods; members of District Party's Standing Committee; the standing of people's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of branches and mass organizations, communes, town, schools, enterprises in the district and representative of association of fellow-countrymen of Dien Ban in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang.
Through two liberation wars, people and army of Dien Ban established many memorable victories contributing in bringing fame to brilliant history of Quang Nam Da Nang "Trung dũng, kiên cường, đi đầu diệt Mỹ" (courage, resilience, taking the lead in anti-American. Dien Ban have 5 groups, 19/20 communes and town, over 50 individuals which were awarded the title of "Hero of the people's armed forces", over 2.100 mothers were awarded the title of "Vietnamese Heroic Mother" by the State. Promoting that tradition, Party, Government and People of the district have focused on socio-economic development, construction and infrastructure for the past 40 years. In 2005, Dien Ban was awarded the tittle of "Labour Hero the reform period". To day, Dien Ban has a tremendous advance in socio-economic development. The economic growth rate has been continuously increasing. In 2010, objective about building district into a industrial district was completed. In the end of 2010, industrial value - basic construction reached approximately 80%, services trade equaled 22% and agricultural production reached only 4.46%.
This is particularly important political events and festival of sweeping politics of people throughout the country in general and Dien Ban - Quang Nam people in particular. This is also opportunity to look back on hero tradition, undauntedness, solidarity of the Vietnamese and of heroic Dien Ban in resistance wars and educate revolution tradition, train patriotic emulation for the younger generation.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister was authorized by the President to award Second-class Independence Order to government and people of Dien Ban district.
Mr. Huynh Ngoc Son – Member of the Party Central Committee and Vice President of the National Assembly gave the decision on establishing Dien Ban Town and 7 wards belong to Dien Ban Town.
To have great achievements as today, along with continuously efforts of leaders and Dien Ban people, the attention, leadership, creating favorable conditions of leaders of Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnamese Fatherland Front, departments, boards, branches, unions of Quang Nam are big encouragement to Dien Ban in the process of construction and development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Phuoc Thanh, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee noted and praised outstanding achievements of Party and people in 40 past years and he asked the district to strive on to successfully complete the socio-economic development objectives in 2015 and in the coming years, to build a beautiful and prosperous town to be worthy of being a hero district.
The ceremony was brought to a close by the artistic program "Điện Bàn – Đất mẹ yêu thương" (Dien Ban - dear mother land) which vividly reconstructed the the resilience and indomitable spirit in the hard struggle for national liberation as well as in the reform process and in the construction and development of Dien Ban Party, government and people. The program was also brought out the great pride in the revolutionary tradition of heroic Dien Ban land.
